| Background PCComplete was built to better meet the needs of the business client. Marshall Miller began operations in 1995 nurturing his select list of clients. PCComplete sold a full line of products from major names giving clients access to almost anything they could want. It wasn't long before the company needed more hands to help fill his customers' growing needs. Reselling pre-built computers from Compaq, Digital, HP, and others, it quickly became apparent that PCComplete's customers' were not having their needs filled by these "one-size-fits-all" systems. PCComplete worked with several contacts to began offering custom assembled PCs in July 1996. The first of these PCs targeted PCComplete's industrial control clients -- built for durability and low overhead. By producing these computers for a fraction of the price competitors charged, sales of the custom assembled PCs quickly spread beyond the confines of the industrial machine. The surge in business led PCComplete to expand their team, bringing on Frederick Hodge as the Director of Service & Assembly, and later Darryl Wattenberg as the Director of Operations & Marketing. Before the end of 1997, the team purchased, renovated, and established operations in their own building in Ferndale, MI. By this time, PCComplete had grown to a company with more than one and a half million dollars in total sales. |
